- Pre–harvest BQA Practices
- Hands–on demonstration of BQA practices based on accepted scientific knowledge that inspires a commitment to quality beef production at every level.
- Demonstrate pre–harvest supply chain management concepts that ensure domestic and international beef consumers enjoy ready access to a quality beef supply.
- Provide production benchmarks through support and examination of national BQA audits.
- Demonstrate accepted cattle husbandry practices as standard operating procedures at all levels of production and handling.
- Encourage documentation and verification of management/husbandry practices.
- Livestock Biosecurity
- Demonstrate innovative biosecurity and biocontainment systems for ranches and feedlots.
- Help producers reduce the incidence of common cattle diseases through science–based health and nutrition systems.
- Produce programs designed to prevent the introduction and/or spread of foreign or emerging animal diseases.
- Continually assess the risks, threats and possibilities of agroterrorism and help producers install appropriate measures to protect their operations.
- Global Beef Production
- Examine and investigate trends in the global meat protein industries.
- Study, experience and share with producers, foreign beef production and marketing systems.
- Assess global market opportunities and then execute associated production and marketing strategies to access international meat protein markets.
- Evaluate and understand international competition and global trade issues and participate in sound and objective domestic and international policy development.
