2010 Beef Study Tour Plans
Plans are underway for a 2010 BEEF Study Tour to South America. This tour will feature visits to multiple ranch visits in each country, production seminars, livestock market centers, agricultural research centers, a packing plant, an Argentine feedlot as well as tourist stops and selected recreational opportunities. The tour is limited to 20 participants — so sign up early to reserve your space.
- Date: Feb 2-15, 2010 (tentative)
- Places: West-central Brazil & Argentina’s Pampas region. Stops include visits to the cities of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil and Buenos Aires, Argentina.
- Cost: $5,000-$6,000 per person based on a 20-person tour. The final tour package price will include all international airfare, all "in-country" airfare, organized ground transportation, 2-3 meals per day, business-class lodging and guide and translation services. Participants will pay for travel from home to U.S. departure city, Brazilian visa, beverages, tips and incidentals.
- Sign-up: Reserve tour space anytime with a $1,000/person deposit. Full payment is due Sept 30, 2010. Early planning is encouraged to allow time for passports and visas — and to avoid being closed out and miss this opportunity for a tour of a lifetime!
