You’re invited to the Southeast "Cattle Buyers" Summit
Thursday, May 22, 2008 — Marriott Convention Center, Chattanooga, TN
This is a special industry event designed for anyone in the cattle industry who markets cattle — as well as ranchers, cattle feeders and agricultural lenders — to introduce the new initiatives of Beef Quality Assurance (BQA) programming.
Cattle buyers are a very important part of our industry and it’s our responsibility to keep them in the loop as to we’re doing in BQA programming. As more and more feedyards, ranchers, truckers and others in the industry become BQA certified and buy into BQA principles and practices, it’s important that everyone in the beef production and marketing chain know what BQA is all about.
Part of the summit will include "Round Table" breakout discussions to allow participants to formally assess BQA programming and provide input into how BQA can better fit the needs of the industry’s cattle marketing segment.
BQA is a producer–led concept to address pre–harvest production practices that increase beef demand and improve consumer confidence in the beef industry. Similar programs are being held this spring and summer in selected locations around the U.S. As a strong supporter of BQA, Schering–Plough Animal Health is the marquee sponsor of the Cattle Buyers Summit.
